Congratulations to all our pupils here at The Oaks Academy in securing their GCSE results, the best in the school’s history. We are immensely proud of their achievements and they reflect their hard work, effort and ambitions. We pride ourselves in the fact that more pupils have chosen the English Baccalaureate route than nationally, meaning they have studied challenging GCSEs, including a Modern Foreign Language.

The commitment and dedication shown by our teachers has ensured that our pupils are well prepared for their next challenges. The Oaks Academy students will all now be moving onto their next phase of education, including A Levels, vocational education and further education. Our results over recent years exemplify our drive to deliver the highest possible standards and outcomes for young people in the local community. We want our pupils to take pride in what they have accomplished.

While all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:

  • Sami, senior student leader, who successfully achieved 7-9 across the board including 8 and 9 in Maths, Statistics, Science and Business Studies.
  • Lewis and Leo who achieved 2 grades above their prior attainment at primary school. This is a fantastic achievement.
  • Alex, Gabriel, Dominika, Gabriela, Jacob, Gabriel, Michal, Liam have all achieved Grade 9s.

Headteacher, Peter Kingdom, said ‘I am proud of all our pupils for their personal achievements this academic year. I am thankful for the dedication of all colleagues who have gone above and beyond to support year 11 with extra intervention and revision sessions. The school has gone through a period of transformation following our recent ‘Good’ Ofsted grading and I am confident the school will continue to grow to achieve our vision of academic excellence for all’.
